Michigan Timber Conservation LLC, is committed to ongoing Forest Stewardship, and Sustainable Forestry excellence.  It is our primary goal to maintain Michigan Forests in a sustainable, economical, responsible manner, while exceeding the expectations of our forest owner members.


We lead the timber industry with innovative timberland programs for landowners by offering a unique way for Michigan property owners to maximize the financial gains from their forested land through the capture and sequestration of carbon.  You can now receive annual royalty payments simply by implementing and utilizing the management practices set forth through our Carbon Offset Membership Program.



You must currently  own a minimum of 10 wooded acres of land to be considered for enrollment.

 

Below, you will find a program outline that describes the benefits of participating as a member, and what you should expect from us in the future.


 

                           

FOREST MANAGEMENT-


During enrollment, our members are provided with a long-term management plan that addresses all aspects of Sustainable Forestry.  Ongoing field studies are performed to insure proper management practices continue. 

All Field Work is professionally executed without any out of pocket expense to the forest owner.  Our goal is to maintain Michigan's private forests in a responsible, ethical manner that promotes positive growth, as well as the capture of carbon in wood products.  This is the best approach known to reduce the greenhouse effects of environmental  CO2 we find present in the atmosphere. 





TIMBER  PRODUCTION


If your forest has harvestable, merchantable timber, you will still be able to use your timber for wood production, as long as it's done using a sustainable, planned measured, long term approach.





 


 


            Upon your approval to this program, we will...




  • Sustainably manage and improve your forest's health.
  • Improve the long term carbon sequestration capabilities of your woodland.
  • Pay all start up and forest inventory costs.
  • Have all work 3rd party verified and sustainably certified for your protection.
  • Pay you carbon sequestration royalties annually.
  • Pay you additional revenue from sustainable logging operations as needed.
